What Is Sustainability?

Sustainability is based on a simple principle: Everything that we need for our survival and well-being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment. Sustainability creates and maintains the conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony, that permit fulfilling the social, economic and other requirements of present and future generations.*

For many organizations, it's not just about the basic aspects of switching off lights and computer screens. It's about viewing "green" as a game changer - from the energy management systems, to water management solutions, to renewables, to creating, developing and maintaining a corporate sustainability culture.

Sustainability – What Does It Mean to Paramount Investments?

It means operating our business in such a way that it causes minimal harm to all living creatures; it means operating our business in such a manner that it does not deplete our environment, but rather enriches it. It reinforces our working together for a common good. The only way to succeed in today’s interdependent world is to embrace sustainability. It requires companies to identify a wide range of stakeholders to whom the company may be accountable. In the long run this will create more social, economic and environmental success for us all.
